These outstanding sires have proven themselves time and again in and out of the show ring, with very selective and limited breeding, they work and produce! Each of these sires have point/championship earning get that show and work. We're proud to be a part of the Happy Hollow "team", where quality always stands above quantity.
First, I'd like to thank Jimmy Thomas of Happy Hollow's Catahoulas for all his hard work and dedication that resulted in the
extraordinary dogs that he has produced through the years.
After losing several of our dogs and our great sire, lovingly known as "Blue", to deer hunters while penning wild cattle off of a deer camp, it was necessary to find a line of dogs that were proven workers. That fateful day found us at the end of a bloodline my husband had had for quite a few years and very short on dogs. Shortly after at the MS NALC show in the early 1990's, Happy Hollow's Joker and Happy Hollow's Sally came to reside in Copiah county with our long time friends, Jerry and Barbara Brown. Joker sired some great dogs for us, a couple of which we still use today. The late J Cross' Bonnie is by the late Happy Hollow's Joker and J Cross Little Bit. Her litter mate sister J Cross' Sue, and full brother J Cross' Clyde are still used today working cows and hog hunting. Sue also competes in open/ABDR bays. Joker's early death lead us back to North Central MS in search of another stud dog. Happy Hollow's Rambler, by the great 5 Way CH Happy Hollow's Hank, was that dog. Crossing Rambler with our bitches, Low Country's Reba Again and Happy Hollow's Summer Breeze has produced some great bay dogs with excellent drive, conformation and temperament.
You'll see photos of Happy Hollow dogs throughout our site. Nearly 15 years later.... we still like 'em!
